Detroit Lake is a reservoir in the North Santiam River 46 miles southeast of Salem. It offers a lot of activities all year round.
I just visited part of it stopping at the Kane's Marina and walked a bit around Detroit Lake State Park.
Ouch! I almost step on a little snake :)
Downtown is very small with a few places to stay and eat.
